6 Layer Rigid-Flex PCB with Stiffener

 

Rigid-flex printed circuit boards manufactured by Rigiflex are increasingly used in various industries. These circuit boards combine two technologies – rigid boards, as well as flexible circuits. The circuit boards are interconnected through plated holes, which provide excellent component density. We can provide single, as well as multilayered printed circuit boards, among which 6 layer rigid-flex PCB with stiffener is the popular one. The stiffeners are added to the PCBs to improve their strength, and durability. They help support the PCB in the manufacturing phase by minimizing the deflection. Also, these stiffeners help us support complex PCB designs.

As the name suggests, the PCB comprises 6 layers, and is made from FR4+polymide. The polyimide material helps improve the rigidity, flexibility, and toughness. We can provide this printed circuit board in maximum panel size 18″*24″, and thicknesses 0.5mm~3.0mm (0.02″~0.12″).

The conductive layer of the PCB is created using annealed copper. We can provide the circuit boards in various copper weights ranging from 0.5 Oz, 1.0 Oz, 2.0 Oz, and 3.0 Oz up to 6 Oz – depending on your choice. In addition to these copper weights, we enable clients to select from a wide range of materials and surface finishes. Some popular material choices provided by us include, polyester (ET), Kapton, and Polyimide. However, the surface finish choices offered include immersion gold, OSP, and HASL. These surface finishes help rigid-flex circuit boards to withstand abusive working conditions.

The solder masks help improve the visual appeal of the printed circuit boards. However, the choice of the right color entirely depends on the application, where the PCB is employed. However, the legend silkscreen colors offered are black and white. The outlines of the PCB is created by routing, V-cut, or punching.
